To celebrate the incredible success of the most global World Expo and the first in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region (MEASA) region, a photography exhibition opened under the shade of Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai, on Tuesday.
Titled ‘The World in One Place’, the stunning outdoor show will run until the end of March and features 27 images by 14 members of the Expo 2020 Official Photography team.
A total of 196 countries and international organisations will have celebrated their National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai during event time. The photographers have captured the spirit and diversity of the people involved in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Award-winning photographer Palani Mohan, said: “While many of my projects have taken me around the world, to visit new places and meet new people, Expo has brought the world to one truly magical place. To capture the incredible mix of people, their cultures and their sense of connection to each other at this moment in time has been really inspiring. I hope viewers look at this exhibition and see how special this Expo is and how much it reflects the world.”
Photographer Walaa Alshaer, said: “Expo has brought people from all over the world together in one visually striking and emotionally inspiring place. I’ve always been interested in people’s stories and I have looked for the heart-felt human connections that take place every day at this extraordinary event.”
With only 16 days before Expo 2020 Dubai closes on 31 March, visitors are encouraged to embrace the ‘it’s now or never before it’s gone forever’ mantra and enjoy the world-class events and activities still to come – all of which will be captured by Expo’s talented photography team.
