Isaac Hernández, one of Mexico’s most famous cultural exports and Lead Principal of the English National Ballet, demonstrated his discipline and talent during a breath-taking performance at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Jubilee Stage on Wednesday (23 March).
‘Ballet rockstar’ Hernández performed a pas de deux, as well as delighting the audience with a showcase of his solo skills.
Dancing since he was eight, Hernández has performed for the American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet and Dutch National Ballet, before assuming his English National Ballet role in 2015.
In 2018, Hernández won the Prix Benois de la Danse, an annual ballet competition in Moscow, becoming the first Mexican dancer to win the award.
