Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched an initiative to identify young racing talent by organizing the first round of Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt 2022 at Armani Gridin (Bengaluru).
Amateur riders from 5 cities (Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Malappuram in Kerala and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh) participated in the first round of the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt 2022. In this event, riders ranging in age from nine to 17 years tried to woo the judges.
Prabhu Nagaraj – Operating Officer Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Idemitsu Honda India Talent Hunt is a platform developed by Honda to provide aspiring and budding racers from across India an opportunity to unleash their potential on the racetrack.”
In the first phase of the event, there will be three rigorous tests for all the candidates. The first is a rigorous physical fitness session followed by a determination of their riding skills and manoeuvrability on the race track.
Also, a one-on-one interview with the candidates and their parents/guardians will be scheduled to understand their riding passion and family support to become India’s next iconic rider.
After shortlisting in Phase I, the top candidates will be trained and promoted to ride on the track in Phase II. Honda will select the best talent from this talent pool for future growth.
