Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, for an official visit.
During the visit, Minister Shahid will participate in the Munich Leader’s Meeting scheduled to held in Tokyo from 14-16 May 2023.
He will also meet with his Japanese counterpart, Hayashi Yoshimasa. And other Ministers attending the Munich Leader’s Meeting.
The Munich Leader’s Meeting, as stated by the Foreign Ministry scheduled by the Munich Security Conference. The conference designs it to be a 24-hour off-the-record meeting held in various capitals worldwide.
It brings together heads of government and international organizations, ministers, parliamentarians, civil society representatives, leading CEOs, high-level private sector representatives, and reputable journalists to discuss and debate international security policy and regional security challenges.
The Munich Leader’s Meeting is in partnership with the Government of Japan and will feature high-level roundtables with a specific thematic focus, held under Chatham House rules.
Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel; Joint Secretary at the Foreign Ministry, Mariyam Midhfa Naeem; Director at the Foreign Ministry, Hussain Jahhaz; and Assistant Director at the Foreign Ministry, Mohamed Shujau.
