OpenAI, which introduced ChatGPT last year, is actively seeking fresh talents to join its company.

People who have good knowledge of coding, machine learning, and other things hold the potential for an annual salary reaching up to Rs 3.7 crore, as stipulated in the official company listing. Here is everything we know.
Jan Leike, who is serving as the Head of Superalignment at OpenAI, revealed in a discussion on a recent episode of “The 80,000 Hours Podcast,” that several research-oriented positions are currently available.
Leike affirmed that the company is looking to hire a number of research engineers, research scientists, and research managers.
It’ll probably be at least 10 before the end of the year, is my guess. And then maybe even more in the years after that,” he said.
Within OpenAI’s superalignment team, research engineers will held responsible for designing and executing intricate experiments for safety research.
Interestingly, this job role will give a massive annual salary, ranging from $245,000 (roughly Rs 2 crore) to $450,000 (around Rs 3.7 crore).

The salaries for other roles that we have mentioned above are not known, but should high.
The responsibilities of a research engineer would be crafting code for machine learning training, proficient management of experimental datasets, and fixing troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Furthermore, Leike asserted that a background in AI safety or a PhD in machine learning not required for these roles, challenging the traditional norms of entry. Instead, Leike emphasized the team’s interest in candidates who has the ability to effectively develop machine learning models.
As for research manager position, who will be overlooking the research engineers and research scientists. As eligible people would be able to earn between $420,000 (around Rs 3.4 crore) to $500,000 (roughly Rs 4.1 crore) a year.
This job role requires the applicant to have a combination of management experience and machine learning skills.
The person should have experience of leading a research team at a machine learning company, contributing to large language model projects, and other things.
