As per latest reports, the billionaire is now planning on removing headlines from news pieces that have shared on Twitter
Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter (now called X) in October 2022, he has been introducing changes to the platform at a lightning speed.
Be it the all-new Twitter Blue service or the ability to post long tweets and videos, Musk has transformed the social media site and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
He has been talking about creating X the ‘everything app’, for a long time and wants the platform to enable users to do a lot more than just share their thoughts with the world.
As per latest reports, the billionaire is now planning on removing headlines from news pieces that have shared on Twitter. This reportedly done to reduce the height of a tweet and allow more tweets to fit in a user’s timeline.
According to a report in Fortune, Musk will soon remove headlines from news pieces shared on X.
Presently, Twitter acts as the go-to source of information for its users and thousands of news articles shared on the platform by people as well as organisations.
This change would mean that the moment you share a link on X, it will display only an image and a URL overlay. There will be no headline on it.Clicking on the link, on the other hand, will take the user to the publisher’s website.
