MANILA (PHILIPPINES) – The Philippines’ Food and Drug Administration has permitted the emergency use of Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine, its head said on Thursday.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the first to be approved in the Philippines, has shown a 95% success rate.
China’s Sinovac Biotech Ltd has also submitted to regulators its emergency use authorization application, said FDA head Rolando Enrique Domingo, on Wednesday.
